The Department of Healthcare Studies (HCS) at SUNY Brockport is currently seeking applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions, primarily focused on teaching within the Addictions & Behavioral Health (ABH) program.Essential Functions:
Teaching (100%)
- Teaches assigned philosophy courses in addictions and behavioral health or a related field
- Engages in experiential and hands-on education when appropriate
- Produces effective course materials
- Achieves student learning outcomes
- Holds open office hours for students
- Infuses diversity issues into teaching, as pedagogically appropriate
Minimum Qualifications:- Master’s degree in a field related to addictions & behavioral health by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university, or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated experience in training/teaching and classroom management
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses related to addiction, behavioral health, or a related topic
- Online and classroom teaching experience preferred
- Experience in student mentorship preferred
Work Schedule: Variable
Salary and Benefits:
