I run a private jewelry studio and school in the East Village, and I am currently looking for a skilled and experienced jewelry maker to join our team.This position is ideal for someone with strong technical ability who also enjoys teaching and working closely with students in a small group setting.Requirements• Minimum 5+ years of advanced jewelry making experience • Strong skills in soldering • Strong skills in Wax curving • Experience with multiple stone setting techniques (bezel, prong, flush/flash setting) • Solid understanding of fabrication and forming techniquesPreferred (not required): • Teaching experience • Enamel experience • Pavé and channel settingAdditional Qualifications• Fluent in English • Excellent communication skills • Patient, kind, and supportive teaching style • Positive and respectful attitude toward students • Must currently live in New York City (studio located in East Village)ScheduleAvailable to work 2–3 days per week:• One or two weekday evenings (5:40 pm–9:40pm) • Saturday (2:45pm–6:45pm) • Sunday (2:45pm–6:45pm)Position StructureThis role begins as an Assistant Instructor position and leads to an Independent Instructor role.We provide structured training for at least 3 months to ensure consistency in teaching style and studio standards.
