We are a small, design-focused private jewelry studio and school located in the East Village, offering high-quality, hands-on classes in a calm and creative environment.Due to a recent staff relocation, we are currently looking for a skilled and experienced jewelry maker to join our team.This role is ideal for someone who is not only technically strong, but also enjoys teaching and supporting students in a small group setting.Requirements• Minimum 5+ years of advanced jewelry making experience• Strong soldering skills• Strong wax carving skills• Experience with multiple stone setting techniques (bezel, prong, flush/flash setting)• Solid understanding of fabrication and forming techniques• Ability to stand for up to 3 hours during class• Light cleaning and studio organization after class is requiredPreferred (not required):• Teaching experience• Enamel experience• Pavé and channel setting experienceAdditional Qualifications• Fluent in English• Excellent communication skills• Patient, kind, and supportive teaching style• Positive and respectful attitude toward students• Must be based in New York City and able to commute easily to the East VillageScheduleAvailable to work 2–3 days per week:• One or two weekday evenings (5:40 pm–9:40 pm)• Saturday (2:45 pm–6:45 pm)• Sunday (2:45 pm–6:45 pm)Position StructureThis role begins as an Assistant Instructor position and leads to an Independent Instructor role.We provide structured training for at least 3 months to ensure consistency in teaching style and studio standards.We are looking for someone interested in a long-term opportunity, as this role requires a training period.
