Position OverviewEVIDENCE seeks a creative, digitally fluent, and dance-savvy freelance Digital Content & Social Media Manager to serve as the organization’s online storyteller. This role will elevate awareness of the Company’s rich legacy, expand audiences across platforms, and support the development of new revenue opportunities.The ideal candidate is both a creative strategist and a thoughtful analyst—someone who can craft compelling narratives while using data and insights to refine strategy and measure impact. This position is particularly well suited for candidates with a background in journalism, arts writing, or cultural storytelling.Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy, Growth & AnalyticsDevelop and implement a cohesive, data-informed social media strategy aligned with organizational goals for visibility, audience growth, and revenue generation.Manage weekly content planning, posting, scheduling, and community engagement across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.Build and grow EVIDENCE’s presence on YouTube and LinkedIn, including channel strategy, content planning, and audience development.Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth, conversions), using insights to optimize content and strategy over time.Content Creation & Digital StorytellingServe as the organization’s lead digital storyteller, translating artistic vision, programming, and community impact into compelling written and visual narratives.Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality content including photography, graphics, short- and long-form video, and copywriting tailored to each platform.Capture behind-the-scenes moments, rehearsals, performances, interviews, and archival material to bring the Company’s work and legacy to life.Maintain visual and editorial consistency, ensuring all content aligns with EVIDENCE’s brand voice and identity.Audience Development & Revenue SupportIdentify opportunities to reach new audiences and deepen engagement with existing communities across digital platforms.Support digital revenue initiatives including ticket sales, merchandise promotion, paid campaigns, online classes, partnerships, and donor engagement.Collaborate with leadership to align content strategy with broader marketing, communications, and fundraising goals.QualificationsDemonstrated experience managing social media for a performing arts organization, cultural institution, creative brand, or similar environment.Strong fluency across major social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.Exceptional visual design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).Proven ability to produce short- and long-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn, and promotional trailers.Outstanding writing and storytelling skills; a background in journalism, arts writing, or cultural criticism is highly valued.Strategic thinker who can connect content creation to organizational goals and revenue opportunities.Photography and/or videography experience strongly preferred.Passion for dance, the arts, or live performance is a significant plus.About EVIDENCE, A Dance CompanyFounded in 1985 by visionary choreographer Ronald K.
