For our upcoming February exhibition in San Jose, After the Human, After Technology, we are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Gallery Sales Associate to support on-site sales and collector engagement.Position OverviewThe Gallery Sales Associate will be responsible for facilitating artwork sales, engaging with collectors and visitors, and supporting the overall exhibition experience. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in contemporary art, excellent interpersonal skills, and familiarity with gallery sales practices.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage visitors and collectors professionally during exhibition hours and eventsPresent and discuss artworks with potential buyers, including artist backgrounds and conceptual contextFacilitate sales transactions and assist with pricing, availability, and inventory trackingSupport opening receptions, private viewings, and scheduled walkthroughsAssist with general gallery operations as needed during the exhibition periodQualificationsPrior experience in an art gallery, art fair, museum, or related cultural institution preferredStrong interest in contemporary art; knowledge of art sales processes is a plusExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional, reliable, and detail-orientedComfortable engaging with collectors, artists, and art professionalsBased in the Bay Area and available to work in San Jose during the exhibition period
