Position: Battery Storage Project Manager
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects within our client’s energy storage portfolio. This role involves working closely with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of multiple utility-scale renewable projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple renewable energy projects across various regions, ensuring milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Utilize project management methodologies and tools to guide projects through design, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness phases.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for EPC contractors, OEMs, O&M teams, and EMS providers, coordinating schedules and overseeing installation and commissioning activities.
- Track and report project performance metrics and KPIs to senior leadership, including updates on contracts, finances, and legal considerations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to transition projects smoothly from development and pre-construction into active execution and eventual operations.
- Manage warranty claims and ensure any contractual deviations are identified and addressed to mitigate risks.
- Maintain project scope and manage change orders to prevent delays or cost overruns.
- Support contract development and administration with external vendors and provide technical and operational insights.
- Partner with development and pre-construction teams to navigate permitting and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in budget development, monitoring, and reporting for both capital and operational expenditures, while contributing to proposals and bids.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to minimize delays and ensure safe, efficient progress on all active projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards, including OSHA, ISO, NEC, and NFPA.
- Conduct site assessments and collaborate with construction teams to facilitate on-site execution and commissioning.
- Capture lessons learned and recommend process improvements to enhance project delivery quality.
- Contribute to overall business strategy and planning as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering management, or a related discipline.
- Strong technical understanding of renewable energy systems, energy storage, and related infrastructure.
- Minimum of 5 years managing utility-scale renewable energy projects, with proven experience in execution and coordination.
- Familiarity with battery energy storage systems.
- Knowledge of permitting processes (CUPs, building permits, and local jurisdiction approvals) is desirable.
- Exposure to construction, site commissioning, and field operations is advantageous.
- Experience working in multiple U.S. energy markets (ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, NYISO)
- Proficiency with project management software, including Procore.
- Strong decision-making skills, customer-focused mindset, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to shifting priorities.
Type: 1-year contract through ERSG then likely direct hire with client

Location & Travel:
- Remote within the United States.
- Travel required approximately 20% of the time for critical project milestones.
Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
