To build our growing team, we seek a highly motivated and skilled Client Portfolio Manager. The Client Portfolio Manager plays a critical role in CTC’s success by leading one or more of our state-level engagements. You will be responsible for providing complex consulting services, ensuring the high-quality delivery of our work, guaranteeing client satisfaction, coordinating the activities and performance of multiple CTC support teams, and overseeing project-level financials.

Desired Expertise and Skills:
The following experience matters to us for this position (most or all of these is a plus):
- Minimum of five years of consulting experience, demonstrating a proven ability to manage client relationships, deliver high-quality work, and navigate complex business challenges
- Minimum of five years of experience in client-facing project or program management roles, preferably in a consulting environment
- Practical experience coordinating client engagements; managing scope, schedule, and budget; aligning deliverables with client expectations; anticipating and responding to client needs on tight timelines; ensuring quality outcomes through effective communication and risk management; owning the delivery of services; working with client teams at all levels, from staff to executive management; and successfully presenting recommendations and analysis
- Committed to continuous learning and intellectual curiosity – actively seeking to learn, gain new skills, embrace new challenges, foster growth and innovation among your colleagues, and empower our team to deliver exceptional solutions in a constantly evolving environment
- Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and issue tracking tools

Client Portfolio Managers are responsible for the following tasks:
- Taking operational accountability for the execution of all work performed for clients
- Owning and maintaining CTC’s relationships with client teams throughout the lifecycle of our engagements
- Serving as the main point of contact for clients, working collaboratively to identify needs and strategic objectives, and translating those into actionable tasks for the CTC team
- Managing client expectations around deliverables, timelines, and scope to build client trust and ensure responsiveness and on-time and on-budget service delivery
- Verifying that all work products meet quality standards and client expectations
- Managing and mitigating project risks, issues, and challenges
- Creatively evaluating client needs and potential solutions while operating within the strategic and risk mitigation frameworks established by CTC and our clients
- Overseeing and mentoring a team of consultants and analysts and providing direction and feedback to ensure effective team communication, collaboration, and workload balance
- Coordinating workstreams across other teams, consultants and subject-matter experts at CTC to satisfy engagement requirements
- Tracking project budgets, staffing, profitability, and managing overall financial performance to ensure engagements stay within CTC’s designated scope and budget
- Supporting business development by identifying follow-on opportunities or new project leads and contributing to subsequent proposals, pricing, and scopes of work
- A flexible schedule is necessary to accommodate meetings and client needs across various time zones
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
