About Marroquin & Co. Led by Diego Marroquin, Marroquin & Co. is an art dealership and advisory focusing on masterworks of the 20th and 21st Centuries. We seek a creative and technically adept graphic designer who will help bring our practice’s visual output –branding, publications, presentations, etc.— to the level highest standards. Role Overview As Graphic Design Associate, you will work be an essential part of our organization, focusing primarily on sales related efforts to deliver high-quality visual materials and communications that represent our practice’s aesthetic ethos. You will engage with and produce a range of deliverables —from marketing materials to digital campaigns— and collaborate with a range of specialists within the art market. You will help shape how our firm is represented visually, ensuring we communicate with consistency and clarity. Key Responsibilities · Act as a stakeholder in the continued development of our brand identity. Be a guardian, uphold and elevate our brand and graphic design standards.· Maintain and enhance the firm’s visual identity ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints (internal and external).· Execute design for a variety of media: print (fact sheets, artwork dossiers, internal and external printed materials), and digital (website, social media visuals, motion assets), etc.· Work closely with our research and sales team to generate marketing materials in downloadable PDF form and other digital formats.· Develop clear graphics, diagrams, typographic layouts, image editing, and motion-graphic clips for internal and external use.· Improve and maintain our digital presence – primarily in the form of our website and social media channels.· Design invitations, menus, packing, and other collateral as required.· Ensure final outputs meet the level of craft and finish expected in a top-tier art dealing practice.· Manage project workflow for graphic deliverables: liaise with internal stakeholders, manage external suppliers (printers, digital houses), monitor budgets and timelines, proof final artwork.· Stay abreast of design trends, software innovation, typography, digital publishing best-practice and bring fresh ideas to elevate the firm’s identity and visual communication.· Generate top-quality CGI, or renderings, of artworks in existing interiors.· Establish and manage a comprehensive library of visual assets. Required Skills & Experience · Degree (or equivalent experience) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or equivalent.· Minimum 3-5 years of high-quality graphic design experience, ideally in an art gallery, art advisory, auction house.· Portfolio demonstrating excellence in typography, layouts, image editing, infographics/diagrams, and multi-media design.· Demonstrable proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and familiarity with motion digital tools (e.g., After Effects) is strongly preferred.· Understanding of print production (pre-press, proofing, color management) and digital publishing best practice.· Excellent visual, typographic and craft sensibility—a clear affinity to design, detail and refined aesthetic.· Strong collaborative and resourceful mindset: able to engage with other designers and specialists and translate their input into visual form.· Excellent organizational skills: able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines across multiple projects, manage suppliers and budgets.· Excellent communication skills, strong initiative, and the ability to work confidently under minimal supervision yet within a team.· A strong interest in art and the integration of a strong design discipline to our business is highly desirable.
