Midori & Friends provides transformative music education, access to live performances, and leadership development for youth in under-resourced communities. The Marketing Manager will spearhead our marketing efforts to elevate our mission and drive engagement. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role requires a strong commitment to promoting our programs and expanding our reach. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Strategic Marketing Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance Midori & Friends\' brand awareness and engagement. Collaborate with the Executive Director and other departments to align marketing initiatives with organizational goals. Content Creation and Management: Oversee the creation and distribution of content across various channels, including social media, website, email, and print materials. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop inspiring materials—including social media graphics, presentations, flyers, direct mail, and email templates—that align with brand guidelines. Design and produce marketing assets (digital and print) to support cross-departmental needs using tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. Manage production with printers and vendors. Ensure all marketing materials achieve their desired marketing objective and effectively communicate our mission and impact. Digital Marketing and Analytics: Lead digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising. Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to optimize strategies and drive results. Partnership and Community Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and community stakeholders to amplify our marketing reach and impact. Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and local influencers to promote our programs and events. Visit schools across the boroughs to capture high-quality photos and videos for content creation, storytelling, and social media campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand voice and messaging. Event Marketing and Promotion: Develop and execute marketing plans for Midori & Friends events, including concerts, workshops, school and community events, and fundraisers. Coordinate promotional efforts with event organizers and stakeholders to maximize attendance and engagement. Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum ROI. Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Bachelor\'s degree with five plus years of experience in marketing, preferably in the nonprofit or arts sector. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns that adapt to evolving audience needs, driving measurable engagement, ROI, and prospect-to-donor conversion. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to grow earned revenue and identify new opportunities for giving through data-informed strategies and audience insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners. Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, and web analytics. Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and driving social change through marketing. Proficiency in video production & editing, photography, and graphics is a plus.
