kaufmann repetto New York is seeking a winter intern. The internship is an excellent opportunity to learn about and experience the day-to-day operations of a commercial art gallery. The intern will report directly to the gallery’s director and will gain a first-hand understanding of the different aspects of gallery work, including operations, research, registration, and sales. The internship will also provide an excellent opportunity to expand one’s vocabulary of contemporary art in both a verbal and written sense. Responsibilities include:Assisting with the gallery day-to-day operationsCreating and updating sales PDFs under the direction of the sales team in AdobeSuiteAssisting with openings and events, additional hours outside of business hours as neededOverseeing general tidiness and organization of gallery and office spacesMaintain gallery library and bookshelfRunning general gallery errands, including dropping off FedEx and USPS ShipmentsGeneral administrative assistance including archiving images and maintaining database records Previous gallery experience is not required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is required. We are seeking a candidate who is available between 10am - 6pm, Tuesday-Saturday on a part-time basis.
