The Music Conservatory of Westchester, nonprofit organization in White Plains, NY is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join their team as a Development Associate. Reporting to the VP of Development and working closely with the Executive Director and Communications team, this key position is responsible for handling a variety of key tasks pertaining to the school’s fundraising program. Strong writing skills and interpersonal skills, data management experience, meticulous record-keeping and the ability to stay focused on results while collaborating with a team are the key to achieving success in this role.Responsibilities:Work with VP of Development on the planning, implementation and follow-up for the Conservatory’s major annual fundraiser in June, as well as other special events.Manage and effectively utilize MCW’s donor database, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, organizing lists for various events and campaigns, generating reports, maintaining narrative donor information and working with the Business department on monthly reconciliation.Work with Executive Director to oversee the organization of Board of Trustee meetings including notifications and reminders, preparation of printed materials, board meeting minutes, and meeting setup.Create compelling language for donor acknowledgment letters, annual appeal campaigns, and event related materials throughout the year. Process donor acknowledgement letters and implement mail merges.Communicate directly with donors to confirm and update donor information.Work closely with VP of Development to ensure that fundraising event related tasks are completed in a timely manner.Assist with tracking and reporting fundraising trends for various events and campaigns.Assist with administrative duties and other development department efforts as necessary.Other responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Meticulous attention to detailExcellent time management, planning and organization skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong knowledge of donor database applications requiredAbility to work well independently and with teammates, and operate with a high degree of professionalismBachelor’s Degree required2-3 years sales or related non-profit work experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications required
