Well established Soho art gallery seeks an experienced full-time Assistant Gallery Director to join our NYC location. The Assistant Director will be responsible for overseeing operational staff, general curation of the gallery (in tandem with our current Director) and ensuring annual sales goals are achieved, while also growing our current exhibition program and exploring marketing/PR opportunities within the NYC community.Several years of previous experience working in a commissioned sales capacity as well as a management position in a high end art gallery environment are required for this position. Expertise working with discerning clientele and exceeding sales goals is required as is a thorough understanding of the art market in general. This job does require Saturdays and Sundays and occasional evenings for events.Further opportunity for growth within our four gallery locations is possible, as is art fair opportunities.
