- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Plan menus in collaboration with executive chefs or culinary directors, incorporating dietary considerations and catering requirements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation for health inspections.
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of exceptional culinary experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in banquet settings, catering, or fine dining environments with a strong background in food production and service management.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with team management skills that motivate staff and promote professional growth.
- Culinary experience with expertise in food handling, preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Familiarity with dietary department standards and food safety regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills to effectively manage shifts and coordinate with other departments.
