Now Hiring: Estate Management Director Taos, New Mexico | Full-time | Base: Taos with domestic and international market reach ABOUT THE GALLERY 203 Fine Art manages approximately 10,000 works from important artist estates and a significant portfolio of consigned works. The gallery is focused on strengthening sales execution, expanding collector reach, and increasing sell-through while protecting long-term artist/estate legacy and market value. THE OPPORTUNITY The Estate Management Director is responsible for turning estate management into a disciplined, trusted, revenue-producing platform. The role combines estate stewardship, cataloging and inventory operations, restoration and logistics coordination, market development, collector outreach, pricing discipline, strategic placements, and sales leadership. WHAT YOU WILL DO Build estate-specific strategies that grow legacy, visibility, value, and sell-through. Lead sales across collectors, advisors, galleries, dealers, art fairs, and institutions. Protect pricing discipline and long-term market positioning for each estate. Serve as senior steward for estate beneficiaries with tact, discretion, and consistent communication. Oversee intake, photography, assessment, documentation, and Artlogic cataloging. Coordinate restoration, framing, storage, logistics, condition workflows, and vendor relationships. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Senior experience in fine art sales, artist estates, galleries, private sales, art advisory, auction, or closely related fields. Strong network across collectors, advisors, curators, museums, galleries, dealers, and auction houses. Operational fluency in inventory management, documentation, condition reports, photography workflows, logistics, and catalog systems. Commercial judgment paired with discretion, diplomacy, and sensitivity to artist legacy and beneficiary relationships. Ability to execute hands-on operational work while building market-facing strategy and sales channels. Willingness to be based in Taos and represent estate inventory domestically and internationally. PREFERRED BACKGROUND Experience with Artlogic, museum/collection databases, or comparable collection-management systems. Track record of meaningful placements, exhibitions, editorial wins, or estate-market development. Experience coordinating restorers, framers, shippers, storage providers, photographers, and specialist vendors. COMPENSATION Competitive senior base salary (DOE) plus commission and performance incentives tied to estate sales, documentation progress, strategic placements, and market development.
