Now Hiring: Sales Director Taos, New Mexico | Full-time | On-site The gallery manages a significant portfolio of consigned works and approximately 10,000 works from important artist estates. The gallery is focused on strengthening sales execution, expanding collector reach, and increasing sell-through while protecting long-term artist legacy and market value. THE OPPORTUNITY The Sales Director is the primary local sales producer for the gallery. This role is built for a proven closer who can convert gallery traffic, develop repeat collectors, build referral relationships, and keep disciplined follow-up moving from first inquiry to collected funds. WHAT YOU WILL DO Own monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for consigned and estate inventory. Lead gallery-floor selling, private appointments, outbound outreach, proposals, and follow-up. Build relationships with collectors, designers, advisors, brokers, repeat buyers, and referral partners. Partner with ownership on pricing, priority artists, estate inventory, and presentation strategy. Support openings, private previews, and targeted campaigns that generate qualified demand. Use CRM discipline to track leads, next steps, pipeline value, conversion stage, and post-sale coordination. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 5+ years of successful gallery, fine art, art advisory, luxury, or high-touch consultative sales experience. Demonstrated ability to close meaningful transactions and cultivate repeat buyer relationships. Strong communication, consultative selling, presentation, and follow-through skills. Comfort working weekends, openings, private previews, and client events when required. Self-directed operating style suited to a small entrepreneurial business. Based in Taos or willing to relocate for a full-time on-site role. PREFERRED BACKGROUND Existing relationships with collectors, designers, advisors, brokers, or regional arts patrons. Experience selling secondary-market, estate, consigned, or historically significant artworks. Familiarity with CRM systems, Artlogic or similar inventory platforms, and sales reporting. COMPENSATION Competitive base salary (DOE) plus uncapped personal commission and performance incentives.
