Casalta is a New York-based interior design studio founded by Nathan and Catherine Bruckner. Our work is guided by a pursuit of simplicity—elegant, refined, and whole. Each project we undertake aims to be both timeless and functional, designed to suit modern life.We are seeking a full-time Project Designer with at least five years of professional experience in high-end interiors to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring strong design sensibility, technical rigor, and the ability to lead and contribute across all project phases, from concept through construction administration. Key Responsibilities- Contribute a clear and thoughtful design perspective across projects- Develop interior architecture, design concepts, and FF&E in collaboration with the principals- Source furniture, fixtures, and finishes; manage procurement through installation; and maintain antique and auction schedules- Prepare and coordinate design documentation, including drawing sets, millwork, finishes, and detailing- Produce presentations, including drawings, 3D models, and renderings- Support project management in coordination with the Studio Director, including timelines, deliverables, priorities, and progress toward milestones- Serve as a point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, architects, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle- Schedule and supervise project construction, including inspections and approvals- Maintain AutoCAD standards and coordinate consultant drawings- Navigate design challenges while balancing aesthetic intent, budget, and schedule- Assist with general studio operations and support as needed- Enforce AutoCad standard and procedures; oversee maintenance of AutoCad Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or a related field- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with projects completed from concept through construction administration- Experience producing detailed construction documents for high-end residential, commercial, and/or hospitality interiors- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Clear and professional communication skills- Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach- Experience with sourcing, procurement, and vendor coordination; familiarity with antique and auction purchasing is a plus- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office- Willingness to travel as needed- Must be located in New York and legally authorized to work in the United StatesIf interested, please email dina@casalta.nyc with your updated materials, including your resume, portfolio and professional references.
