Registrar and Shipping Coordinator, West CoastRegistrar and Shipping Coordinator coordinating West Coast logistics, inventory, and client order fulfillment for a contemporary design gallery. Responsible for the movement, documentation, and stewardship of fine art, furniture, and collectible design across sales, exhibitions, loans, and special projects.This position is hybrid, reporting to the Los Angeles Gallery location.Core ResponsibilitiesLead West Coast shipping and logistics operations across all departmentsManage inventory intake, condition reporting, and tracking in coordination with warehouse teamsCoordinate receiving, storage, transportation, and order fulfillment workflowsPartner with sales and client services on availability, estimates, and delivery timelinesArrange domestic and international shipping, including trucking, white glove delivery, and customsManage relationships with West Coast and national shippers, art handlers, and storage vendorsOversee crating, restoration logistics, returns, claims, and insurance coordinationSupport exhibitions, loans, inter-gallery transfers, and special projectsMaintain accurate inventory systems and reporting; track shipping costs and process invoicesRequirementsMinimum 5 years experience in logistics, registrar, or gallery/museum operationsExperience shipping furniture and 3D objectsStrong familiarity with Los Angeles and San Francisco shippers and art handlers, plus national vendorsExperience managing export shipments and related documentationAbility to quickly source quotes, compare vendors, and problem-solve under tight timelinesStrong understanding of packing, handling, and warehouse best practicesHighly tech savvy, with proficiency in inventory, CRM, and logistics systems, as well as Excel, Google Workspace, and emerging AI tools; able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologiesExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communicationPreferredExperience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Artlogic, or similar inventory/CRM systemsCompenstationCompetitive salary in the range of $70,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience, plus annual discretionary bonus.
