Two Trees and the Walentas Family Foundation seek a highly organized Cultural Affairs Program Coordinator to support the operational and programmatic work of our Cultural Affairs portfolio. This position is primarily focused on executing and streamlining programs, building systems, and managing processes across our cultural and grantmaking programs. The Program Coordinator will support the Cultural Affairs Director on a wide portfolio of programs: Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program, Cultural Space Subsidy Program, Neighborhood School Grants, Public and Private Art Commissions, Public Cultural Events and Programs. The Program Coordinator will have the opportunity to work in arts, education, philanthropy, and learn about the intersection of real estate, public-private partnerships, and alternative models for supporting individuals, organizations, and institutions in NYC. What you’ll do Program Management: You will support our director on three major application-based programs: Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program, Cultural Space Subsidy Program, and Neighborhood School Grants. You will develop and refine workflows, create deliverable calendars, and manage documentation systems to ensure programs are managed efficiently and consistently.Data Aggregation: You’ll help maintain and create databases to aggregate and produce reports across our programs. You’ll track project expenses and relevant data, working with our Accounting, Leasing, and Property Management departments.Event Production & Logistics: You’ll manage a full calendar of events, ranging from intimate gatherings to public festivals. You’ll document outcomes, lessons learned, and create post-event reports.Communications: You’ll draft internal reports, agendas, program summaries, and take meticulous meeting minutes. You will support external communications, including press materials, social media copy, and program collateral and maintain well-organized archives of program materials. You will serve as a liaison for cultural tenants, grantees, and external partners.Research: You’ll interpret, synthesize, and share research related to cultural initiatives and education and create both print and digital reference materials. You’ll assist in translating ideas into operational plans, ensuring that program goals are achievable and impactful. Who You Are Work Experience: You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar environment, preferably with a focus on project management and delivery, and grant management. You have experience managing concurrent projects, can create and stay on top of production schedules, and are skilled at prioritizing and juggling multiple demands. Communication: You have strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills, including copywriting, proofreading, and notetaking. You have excellent interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively with artists and executives, teachers, and vendors. You can take direction, give constructive feedback, and ask questions when you don’t have the answer.Style: You are highly system-oriented and process-driven, able to create structure and continuity across programs. You have impeccable attention to detail, write a mean meeting agenda, and maintain well-organized files. You are hands-on, in the office, and off-site: you can lose yourself in a dataset, roll up your sleeves to coordinate artwork fabrication, and work behind the scenes to execute a perfect event.
