Grace Church School, a non-sectarian preschool in Brooklyn Heights, is seeking a part-time music specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. Our students range from two to five years old.The music specialist meets with each classroom of students for 20-30 minutes each week for a total of nine sessions. The specialist is responsible for planning and implementing weekly music lessons tailored to preschool-aged children that integrate singing, movement, rhythm, and instrument play. The classroom teachers remain with their class as support.QualificationsExperience working with preschool-aged children in a music or early childhood education setting.Understanding of child development and age-appropriate musical practices.Flexibility to switch gears and differentiate between preschool age groupsAbility to collaborate with teachers and work with children with a range of developmental needsTime PeriodSeptember 1, 2026 - June 17, 2027 (excluding school holidays and vacation)1 day a week – 8:30-3:00
