REGISTRAR: P/TMARC STRAUS gallery has locations on The Lower Eastside and Tribeca and sells art worldwide.Duties: This is a part time position requiring 2 – 3 days per week, mostly on site.• Maintain accurate up-to-date records of all art inventory, art transports• Maintain records on Arternal and other databases• Responsible for all art shipping to and from gallery on a timely basis · All consigned art, to and from art fairs, and to purchasers· Clear and timely communication with all parties• Select and negotiate art crating and art transportation · Expert Condition reports• Closely involved in all art installations and deinstallationsRequired Skills:• At least three years’ high level experience in art registrar work• Working knowledge of contemporary art• Extraordinarily organized • Excellent computer skills, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, EXCEL, Arternal or equivalent• Good art handling skills· Expert at Condition Reports· Collegial and communicates well
