*Traveling Position*
You will act as a Schoenfelder representative on our renovation sites, reporting directly to the Project Manager or Lead Superintendent. You manage the customer experience on site and should understand that it is of the utmost importance to maintain Schoenfelder’s 33-year reputation. What you say and do gets noticed, keep it positive and constructive, i.e., focus on solutions, not problems.
As a Site Supervisor, you will complete commercial renovation projects on time by planning, organizing, supervising contractors, reporting progress at least daily and pre-punching to ensure a smooth client inspection.
Manage, supervise subcontractors of all trades and skill levels, keeping them on task, controlling performance and quality for final product you can be proud of. Coordinate with subs to keep entire job site clean at the end of each day and prevent material waste.
Meet operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; maintain productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction improvements.
Fully understand the project purpose and scope; inventory the resources required; establish standards and protocols; scheduling and coordinating contractors; evaluate milestones, pivot when necessary, daily and consistent communication with the Project Manager.
Conduct pre-punch inspections at critical phases and obtain approvals from interested parties. Reinforce quality work with contractors and maintain a positive, respectful work environment. Inform them when improvement is needed. Teach by doing.
Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing codes. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing OSHA standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations and providing truthful evidence of weekly safety meetings with the crews.
Critical Skills/Qualifications
· Consistent communicator in verbal and written form. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; participates in meetings and maintains team environment by being a levelheaded leader.
· 5 years of supervisory experience in a construction environment. Ability to maintain a positive jobsite while reinforcing the need to keep pace and quality to meet client needs and deadlines. Solution oriented.
· Supply/inventory management, teach contractors to prevent material waste.
· Attention to detail, full understanding of quality work expectations in hospitality arena.
· Approaches others in a tactful manner, reacts well under pressure, and treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments.
Essential Functions
· Ability to keep pace physically and mentally with high-speed work environments.
· Endurance to visit entire job site, including expansive areas, stairs, ladders and/or other elevated structures.
· Ability to stand, sit, kneel, walk, climb, bend, stretch, and twist; use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; some for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to work in varying environments. Will be exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust, fumes, and working interior and/or exterior projects at any given time.
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds on occasion to move materials.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Knowledge, proficiency, and skill to operate trade equipment i.e., forklift, aerial lift booms, scissor lifts, etc.
· Being physically present during all operating hours. Opening the jobsite at the beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.
· Provide 2-week advance notice of absence for site coverage purposes. Limit unplanned absences.
· Conduct and truthfully document weekly safety meetings, addressing all personnel on site and effectively communicate requirements and needs for a safe work environment for all.
· Understand that open alcohol container on site, visible to crew, guests, client staff during work hours is a fire able offense.
· Must be able to read blueprints and provide your own tablet or laptop and smartphone.

Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,192.00 per week
