The MES Test Manager will be responsible for overseeing the testing activities related to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within the Aerospace domain. This role requires a strong understanding of test management, automation, and Agile methodologies, along with expertise in GE Plant Apps. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality and efficiency of software implementations through rigorous testing practices.
Responsibilities:
- MES Test Management: Create and maintain standard test cases, test plans, and test data. Perform various testing activities including regression, system, load, and performance testing.
- Engage in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression test activities for new implementations, software versions, and feature releases.
- MES Test Automation: Identify test cases suitable for automation, create test definition documents, and coordinate with technical teams and the Test Center of Excellence (COE).
- Act as a liaison between the MES team and the Test COE and automation team to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Agile Methodology and Project Planning: Understand the Agile lifecycle, participate in Agile project planning, and make informed technology choices. Define work scope, provide estimates, and justify them with factual data.
- MES Expertise and Continuous Improvement: Utilize Aerospace MES domain knowledge and tools such as HP ALM, UFT, and Rally/Octane to enhance quality through testing. Take ownership of tasks, participate in non program engineering improvements, and enhance team efficiency and productivity.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience in MES testing and management.
- Strong knowledge of GE Plant Apps.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, UFT).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project planning.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with performance and load testing.
- Knowledge of additional testing frameworks and automation tools.
- Experience in the Aerospace industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 10 years of relevant experience in software testing and project management.
- Certifications in Agile methodologies or testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
