Meyer Contracting Corp is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Manager to oversee all financial and accounting functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the attainment of management’s goals through accurate financial reporting, robust job costing analysis, and meticulous oversight of payroll and tax compliance. This is a leadership role that requires a deep understanding of construction-based accounting and the ability to provide actionable insights to the President.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Manage and maintain the QuickBooks Accounting System, ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger and all financial data.
- Job Costing & Analysis: Provide management with detailed reports regarding job costs, profitability, and overhead. Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) to ensure project financial health.
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Supervise and execute Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), monthly contract billing, and cash receipts.
- Payroll & Tax Compliance: Lead the preparation of weekly payroll and ensure timely, accurate filing of all federal and state tax reports.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and reconciliations to guide executive decision-making.
- Leadership: Provide direction and establish standard operating procedures for all accounting functions to improve department efficiency.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
