The Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC), part of SUNY Brockport, is accepting applications for an Assistant Registrar. Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the Assistant Registrar will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and documentation of enrollment information for all enrolled students, including student records related to acceptance, registration, and requests from external agencies. This position works closely with academic staff to coordinate class schedules and collaborates with Admissions staff and the University Center for Academic and Workforce Development (UCAWD).
Essential Functions:- Manages computer data, supervises records data flow, and prepares statements of enrollment and attendance.
- Schedules course sections, classes, and final exam schedules.
- Records grades, processes grade changes, and posts corrections to student records.
- Processes student withdrawals and academic dismissals.
- Reviews program applications for fulfillment of program requirements and mails student transcripts.
- Provides monthly reports to supervisor.
- Processes information requests including enrollment verifications, attendance reports, and/or transcript requests.
- Maintains accurate records of all REOC courses and curriculum requirements.
- Maintains the classroom reservation calendar for internal use of computer labs and classroom space.
- Maintains and produces student IDs.
- Serves as co-chair of the Course Scheduling committee.
- Serves as liaison for UCAWD regarding Banner and ARGOS.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree by the time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university
- Experience working in a registrar's office or closely related field
- Ability to work independently, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and work within a team environment
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrated success working with multicultural faculty, staff and students
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degreefrom a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university
- Ability to collect data and analyze data to support decision making
- Knowledge of Banner and Brightspace
Work Schedule:37.5 hours/week; Monday - Friday; Monday- Friday, 8am- 4pm, with occasional evenings required.
