What You'll Do
As Banquet Manager, you'll oversee the daily operation of banquet and event services while ensuring every event exceeds guest expectations. This is a highly visible leadership role that requires strong organization, attention to detail, and a passion for service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead all banquet operations from event setup through breakdown
- Supervise, schedule, coach, and motivate banquet staff
- Execute events according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Partner with Sales, Catering, Culinary, and Hotel Operations to ensure flawless event execution
- Ensure banquet rooms are properly prepared, maintained, and guest-ready
- Maintain exceptional service standards throughout every event
- Monitor staffing levels and labor costs
- Manage banquet equipment, inventory, and supplies
- Address guest requests and resolve concerns professionally
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards
- Jump in wherever needed to support the team and ensure successful events
What We're Looking For
We're searching for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading by example and creating memorable guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Banquet Manager, Banquet Captain, Event Manager, Catering Manager, or similar hospitality leadership role
- Hotel, resort, conference center, or upscale event venue experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and guest service abilities
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift banquet equipment as needed
