Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in discovering vintage apparel, accessories, and collectibles that match their style and needs
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently and securely
- Conduct product demos to highlight the unique features and history of vintage items, enhancing customer engagement
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking to ensure an inviting shopping environment
- Upsell complementary items by understanding customer preferences and promoting relevant products to increase sales
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cash register operations and basic retail math calculations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering styling advice, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or cashiering, with strong POS system proficiency
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings or store operations
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, pricing, and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills in both bilingual (if applicable) and monolingual contexts to connect with diverse customers
- Skilled in phone etiquette for answering inquiries professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management within a grocery store or retail environment
- Experience with product demos, upselling strategies, and customer engagement techniques
- Strong organizational skills for stocking shelves, managing inventory, and maintaining visual displays
