High Falls Food Co-op | Part-Time to Full-Time | Reports to Customer Service Manager
At High Falls Food Co-op, our Front End Team is the heart of the shopping experience. As the first and last point of contact, you’ll play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and efficient experience for our members and customers. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, cooperative, and dedicated to excellent customer service. This position is Full Time, open availability preferred.
What You’ll Do
- Greet every customer with friendliness, respect, and care.
- Deliver accurate, efficient, and memorable checkout experiences.
- Be proactive in helping customers find what they need and communicating with managers when support is required.
- Assist with stocking, tidying, and cross-department tasks when needed.
- Stay up to date on Co-op policies, membership, and communication tools (like Slack and email).
- Handle cash and transactions with integrity and attention to detail.
- Keep the front end clean, organized, and running smoothly.

- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- A willingness to take initiative and help wherever needed.
- Ability to learn, adapt, and work well under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varied shifts.
- Comfort with cash handling and basic computer use.
- Interest in natural foods and cooperative values.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for most of the shift.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Bending, reaching, and squatting as needed.
