Full-time, tenure-line, biology/chemistry faculty position based on the Cattaraugus County Campus in Olean, NY. Responsibilities include teaching college-level biology and chemistry courses for pre-nursing and Life Science program students. The successful candidate will collaborate with the science faculty and lab coordinator to develop curriculum, support and maintain dynamic and inclusive lab environments that encourage experimentation and innovation, and engage in departmental and college-wide initiatives. Applicant will be the sole full-time science faculty member on the Cattaraugus County Campus but will collaborate closely with nursing faculty and with Jamestown Campus science faculty. Teaching on the Jamestown Campus may occasionally be required. Position available Fall 2026.
Required: Master’s degree (or higher) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
Preferred: PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline. Community college teaching experience especially in Anatomy & Physiology I and II lecture and laboratory, Microbiology lecture and laboratory, Allied Health Chemistry, and/or Introduction to Chemistry. Evidence of leadership, collaboration, and/or initiative in academic or community settings.
