Cleaners perform routine manual labor requiring medium to heavy physical effort, with basic knowledge of various cleaning products and equipment; and the ability to climb scaffolding. The cleaner positions may be available for various shifts and may be full or part-time.
Essential Job Functions:- Cleans, stocks, and supplies designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, using auto scrubbers, shampooers and burnishers)
- Shovels snow around sidewalks and stairs surrounding campus building
- Performs medium to heavy physical labor, lifting 30lbs
- Works independently as well as in a group setting
- Carries out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
- Notifies management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Safe use and application of cleaning chemicals
- Follows all health and safety regulations
- Performs and documents routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Overtime may be required as needed
Minimum Qualifications:Labor Class: There are no education or experience requirements for this class. Cleaners must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Schedule:Various shifts and days, 40 hours/week: Monday-Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm; 7:00am-3:30pm; 3:00pm-11:30pm; 10:30pm - 7:00am.
