We are looking for a motivated individual to help maintain and assist in all the daily operations of our garden center and plant nursery in Tillson, NY. This is an interdisciplinary position that requires time both inside and outside come rain or shine. Duties change from day to day so we’re looking for a candidate that is outgoing, hardworking, doesn’t mind getting dirty, has stamina, passion for learning new skills, and has some previous customer service experience. Responsibilities: The Nursery team member will be responsible for performing duties related to the operating of the nursery. These include but are not limited to:
Daily Tasks:
● Assisting customers in plant care and hardscape material sales both over the phone and in person.
● Maintaining grounds by weed wacking, mowing, hand-weeding and pruning.
●Ensuring the general health of all plant material in stock; watering and repotting.
● Operation of cash register, POS system & answering phones.
● Maintaining and tidying up stock areas and grounds.
● Coordinating bulk material deliveries.
● Loading Bulk material into customers vehicles with loader and tractor.

● Basic familiarity with computers and cash registers.
● Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, and changing environment.
Note: This job can be very physically demanding. Stock loading and unloading and organization must be performed regularly in all weather conditions. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Job Type: Approximately 35+ hours per week. Weekend availability required.
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
