Summary:
The clerical lead Medical Practice Patient Representative works with the clinicians and staff in the coordination of assigned staff, provider schedules and patient scheduling needs to facilitate smooth daily operational flows. They optimize patient care; direct and assist the assigned staff in their daily work process. Span of control to provide direction to Medical Practice Patient Representatives and report issues or concerns to practice leadership.
Responsibilities:
1.Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.2.Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance. 3.Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and assures accurate communication � both verbally and via the EMR system4.Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals. 5.Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols6.Monitors applications and manage worklists as applicable.7.Collects co-pays and reconciles moneys for deposit. 8.Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients. 9.Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable. 10.Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluates the effectiveness and modifies activities as necessary. 11.In collaboration with the practice leadership mentors, orients, trains, educates and supervises Medical Practice Patient Representative to improve competency and patient satisfaction using established workflows and policies. 12.Works in conjunction with practice leadership for hiring, performance evaluations, feedback and coaching to achieve optimal team performance. 13.Monitors all clerical workflows of office related to the Medical Practice Patient Representative and addressing efficiency of teams with practice manager/assistant practice manager. 14.Holds Medical Practice Patient Representative huddles to ensure smooth operations of the daily schedule and phones as required.15.In conjunction with practice leadership utilizes patient satisfaction data to create targeted improvements plans as required.16.Fulfills and adheres to all compliance responsibilities related to the position. 17.Maintains and Models the Organization�s values. 18.Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance. 19.Performs other duties as required.

Ability to travel between practices as needed.
