Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Store Team Members to join our team at Lowe’s Home Improvement. This role offers multiple positions across various departments, all paid and integral to delivering an exceptional shopping experience. As a Store Team Member, you will engage with customers, assist with product selection, and ensure the store operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product questions and offering tailored recommendations.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Conduct product demos and upselling to promote featured items and enhance sales opportunities.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are properly labeled.
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking, inventory counts, and product replenishment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers using phone etiquette and clear verbal skills.
- Support store operations through supervising experience when applicable, ensuring safety and adherence to policies.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, POS operations, and retail math calculations.
- Strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers and team members effectively.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse customer base better.
- Experience in supervising or leading teams is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued.
- Familiarity with merchandising, stock management, and product demos enhances performance in this role.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with professionalism and courtesy.
