About the Role:
Our utility client is seeking an experienced Technology Project Manager to lead moderate-to-large infrastructure projects within our Technology organization. Reporting to the Technology PMO Program Manager, you will drive the full project lifecycle from initiation through transition to operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, on scope, and within budget, leveraging best-in-class project management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
People & Team Management
- Lead project teams and drive collaboration across internal and vendor resources.
- Manage vendor relationships and align expectations on deliverables.
- Develop project artifacts: scope, schedule, budget, communication plan, test plan, change control, and activation plan.
- Facilitate risk, issue, and dependency discussions, driving actionable solutions.
- Apply Organizational Change Management principles to ensure project adoption.
Project Management & Financial Oversight
- Manage projects using PMBOK, SDLC Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile frameworks.
- Track and report project status to executives, sponsors, and teams.
- Maintain project budgets, forecasts, and actively manage costs.
- Execute change control processes to manage scope, schedule, and cost effectively.
- Utilize MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and PPM tools to deliver high-quality projects.
Technical & Infrastructure Oversight
- Understand technical constraints, dependencies, and frameworks to ensure high-quality solutions.
- Partner with technical leads and vendors to translate requirements into test plans and technical designs.
- Ensure high-quality execution of design, testing, and cutover activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years managing infrastructure and application projects in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with SDLC Waterfall and Iterative project management models.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Project and MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile certification.
- Experience in software development and test organizations.
- Familiarity with PPM tools: JIRA, Planview, ServiceNow, Project Server Online, or PPM360.
- Consultative experience with implementation services or start-up environments.
