What we need:
The Continuous Improvement Lead supports Riverview Landscapes’ Riverview Business System by enabling continuous improvement, alignment, elimination of waste and effective communication across a rapidly growing, multi-branch organization.
This role is an individual contributor and does not include people management. The Continuous Improvement Lead operates as a specialist/lead-level role, focusing on facilitation, coordination, documentation, and enablement. The role works closely with branch team members, branch managers, regional managers, executive leadership, and corporate teams to support continuous improvement efforts.
Riverview currently facilitates approximately one Kaizen event per month and intends to scale to at least two Kaizen events per month along with multiple smaller workshops each month. This role will initially focus on planning, coordination, logistics, documentation, and follow-through, while progressively developing the skills and confidence to independently facilitate Kaizen events over time.
The Continuous Improvement Lead will primarily focus on the New York region in partnership with the regional manager while also facilitating Kaizen events and workshops across all branches.
This position will report to the Director of Systems & Integrations and work closely with the Regional Managers.
*Candidates must reside in the New York region. This role will be at least 3 days at a local branch with frequent travel to other branches within the North East as needed.
Compensation Bands:
$70k–$78k → Strong operations background, newer to Lean/facilitation
$78k–$88k → Solid facilitation skills + landscape experience
$88k–$95k → Proven Kaizen/Lean experience + strong executive presence + Aspire expertise
What you'll do:
- Kaizen Planning & Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and support Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities, including scheduling, logistics, participant coordination, preparation, and follow-up.
- Facilitation Support & Development: Support facilitation of Kaizen events and improvement workshops, gradually developing the skills and confidence to independently facilitate events over time.
- Continuous Improvement Enablement: Help teams identify waste, document current-state processes, develop practical improvements, and establish standard work aligned with the Riverview Business System.
- Communication & Alignment: Facilitate clear, unbiased communication across a variety of branch teams, regional managers, corporate teams, and executive leadership to ensure alignment before, during, and after improvement efforts.
- Documentation & Follow-Through: Document Kaizen outcomes, action items, and process changes, and support follow-through to ensure improvements are sustained.
- Learning & System Growth: Actively study Lean principles and facilitation methods and apply learning to strengthen Riverview’s continuous improvement system as the organization scales.
- Continuous Improvement KPI Tracking: Track, analyze, and report key continuous improvement metrics (e.g., safety improvements, quality improvements, cost savings, and people development) to measure the impact of Kaizen activities, monitor sustainability of improvements, and support data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Field services industry or trades experience
- Strong facilitation, coordination, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively across branch teams, regional leadership, corporate teams, and executives
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage logistics, documentation, and follow-through
- Ability to remain neutral, synthesize multiple perspectives, and avoid personal bias in decision-making
- Must reside within the Riverview Landscapes service area
- Ability to work from a home office or Riverview branch location
- Willing and able to work in branch locations three days per week on average
- An average week would include one to two days in the office (a Riverview facility or home office) and the remainder of the week in branches, shops or field, working with branch teams
- Overnight stays may be necessary for branches further from home base
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with continuous improvement, Lean, or Kaizen
- Experience with process development, documentation, or scaling operations
- Landscape operations experience
- 1+ years of experience using Aspire software

Pay: $78,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
