It will involve working closely with the artist. The perfect person will be interested in helping shape a thoughtful digital presence around a long and evolving practice. Ideal for a master’s level student or early career creative professional, this project requires a high level of meticulousness, mental organization, and resourcefulness. ResponsibilitiesAssist with documenting both ongoing and historical work (image organization, archiving, light research)Propagating artist’s image through research and outreach to galleries and museums Edit images and materials using Adobe PhotoshopHelp build and maintain the artist’s Instagram presence, including content planning and postingAssist in developing and managing the artist’s Substack, including drafting, editing and organizing written materialSupport studio needs during in-person workdays in downtown ManhattanUpdating website with documentation from new projects and eventsManaging email blasts, communications, and outreachQualificationsStrong experience with Photoshop (required)Background in art history, or a closely related field preferredCapable, clear writer with strong editing skillsKnowledgeable about social media, particularly Instagram, with an understanding of how to build an audienceHighly organized, detail-oriented, and reliablePrior experience of creating or maintaining an archive, catalogue resume Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a studio environmentRespectful of confidentiality and sensitive materialBasic understanding of website managementA good sense of humor, positive demeanor, and genuine care and concern for your colleagues and the communities you work within.
