Finance/Accounting, Gallery – Assistant to Finance ManagerEntering weekly bills in QuickBooks, verify approval and allocate expenses with proper ledger and class.Verifying credit card expenses and reconciling credit card statements & ensuring that each transaction is properly documented and allocated into the accounting system with proper classification.Petty Cash reconciliation.Assisting in the gallery weekly payments cycle.Assist the Financial Manager in compiling timely and accurate financial reports for the business managers.Benefit and gala coordinator: ensuring payments are submitted on time and creating documents for internal review and records.Filing financial documents, checking receipts, expenses report for processing.Assisting in the organization of quarterly tax submission and year end filing. 192 Books (Bookstore):Managing account payable for the bookstore: entering publishers and vendors invoices and processing for payments.Account receivable: data entry for daily activities of the bookstore in set spreadsheets and in QuickBooks, cash and bank deposit.Managing the bookstore\'s annual inventory. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and experienced in a fast paced working environment. Strong organization skill with ability to multitask, working on their own as well as in a group setting. QuickBooks and excel proficiency are required for the role, knowledge of GAAP principles, along with art database skill, preferably ArtBase.Knowledge of business insurance encouragedQualifications:– Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a related field (Art History, Arts Management, etc)– 2–3 years relevant experience preferred
