Role DescriptionTAMAF seeks a highly organized and proactive Development & Programs Associate for a part-time, hybrid role based in New York. Working closely with the Executive Director, this hands-on position supports fundraising operations, grant research and administration, donor correspondence, coordination programs, and the Young Patrons initiative. The role requires strong attention to detail, follow-through, and professionalism, and offers meaningful exposure to museum leadership, board members, and an international arts and cultural community.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelopment & GrantsConduct donor, prospect, and foundation research to support fundraising prioritiesIdentify and track grant opportunities aligned with Museum and TAMAF initiativesSupport grant submissions end-to-end: materials, timelines, tracking, and reportingDraft donor communications, including acknowledgments, renewals, and stewardship updatesTrack gifts, pledges, renewals, and grants with accuracy and consistencySupport donor and funder retention through timely follow-up and documentationEvents & ProgramsSupport planning and execution of donor programs and fundraising eventsCoordinate logistics including timelines, guest lists, and materialsAttend events and assist with on-site execution as neededManage post-event follow-up, including thank-you communicationsYoung Patrons ProgramSupport day-to-day coordination of the Young Patrons initiativeServe as liaison between the Founding Committee, Executive Director, and BoardManage communications, meeting notes, and follow-upsAssist with engagement and growth strategies for emerging supportersOperationsMaintain organized development and grant recordsEnsure consistency and professionalism across donor- and funder-facing materialsSupport internal planning and tracking as neededQualifications 2–5 years of experience in development, grants, nonprofit operations, or eventsStrong writing skills and professional judgmentExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailComfort working with donors, board members, and senior stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentInterest in art, culture, or philanthropy strongly preferredExperience with CRMs, donor databases, or grant tracking a plus
