Job Overview
As a Tour Guide at Klocke Estate, your main responsibility will be to create a welcoming, informative and entertaining experience for our guests and be a leader among your T&T peers. You will greet and converse with guests, give tours of the distillery, provide tastings for guests, prepare and serve food & beverage, interact with guests at off-site markets and tastings, and facilitate retail sales both on and off-site. Collaboration and teamwork are key aspects of this role, as you will work closely with T&T and restaurant staff.
Responsibilities
● Cultivate a comprehensive knowledge of the estate’s agricultural programs, production methods, proprietary products, and retail offerings.
● Cultivate a comprehensive knowledge of our steps of service, SOPs and hospitality style as detailed by the Employee Manual.
● Lead the tour and tasting guest experience.
● Be familiar with all Klocke Estate hospitality offerings and programming including tours & tastings, restaurant operations, and special events
● Set up, maintain and break down the food station, bar station, retail and tasting stations, and service stations, stocking all necessary materials for service.
● Answer guest questions and offer enlightening information to deepen guests’ understanding of Klocke Estate, brandy, vermouth and related topics.
● Manage reservation check in for guests and communication through AnyRoad software.
● Facilitate retail purchases.
● Process guest payments accurately, handling cash and electronic transactions.
● Ensure organization, sanitation, cleanliness, and maintenance standards are kept throughout the hospitality areas, including outdoor guest spaces and restrooms.
Requirements
● Maintain a reasonable schedule with flexible availability, including mornings, nights, holidays, and time for all staff meetings and tastings.
● Effectively communicate in written and spoken English.
● Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, excellence-driven environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
