Bosco’s Mercantile is a luxury bedding, home goods, women’s clothing, and provisions store with locations in Kingston and Saugerties, NY. We’re seeking a friendly and enthusiastic full time retail sales associate to join our team. As a Bosco’s retail sales associate, you will:
- Provide excellent client service by demonstrating warmth, interest, and courtesy to all Bosco’s shoppers
- Use your strong interpersonal and communication skills to help understand and respond to customer needs
- Help clients discover the perfect products that enhance their comfort, their homes, their wardrobes, and their lives

- Achieve sales goals planned for the day/month/year
What you’ll do:
- Welcome customers and provide personalized service, managing the process from greeting to completing transactions, ensuring a seamlesss and satisfying experience
- Drive sales and provide exceptional customer service through customer engagement and suggestive selling
- Guide customers through our selection of premium brands while confidently showcasing product features and benefits
- Develop expertise in Bosco’s brands and merchandise by gaining product knowledge
- Processes all transactions via Square retail POS system, including inputting sales, processing payments, refunds/exchanges, store credit, and gift card purchases
- Build customer base by documenting sales and creating or updating customer profiles
- Keep clientele informed of preferred customer sales and new merchandise (or restock) that aligns with their interests or needs
- Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and an inviting store presentation
- Keep management aware of any customer and/or potential security issues
Qualifications:
- Friendly, outgoing, warm manner and attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clientele and other team members
- Ability to develop and maintain product knowledge to provide informed insight to customers
- Experience in high-end retail sales and customer service is required
- Knowledge of bedding, home goods, textiles or experience with luxury fashion or designer retail is a plus
- Weekend availability
