What You’ll Own

You will be the performance engine behind our tax department. Your leadership will directly impact quality, client satisfaction, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure Accuracy & Quality: Oversee tax return preparation and review with extreme attention to detail, eliminating major errors before they happen.
Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team: Train, mentor, and hold team members accountable to expectations that elevate the entire department.
Manage Client Relationships: Maintain strong, positive relationships with small-business clients while upholding expectations and delivering a premium service experience.
Conduct Tax Planning Calls: Lead proactive tax planning meetings over Zoom with clients to strategize, optimize, and avoid surprises.
Own the Deadline Calendar: Keep the team on track, ensure timely filings, and move quickly when priorities shift.
Drive High Output: Increase departmental productivity while maintaining superior quality standards.
Guide Niche Expansion: Most of our current clients are in the beauty industry. You will play a critical role in shaping our expansion into additional verticals and supporting the firm’s long-term growth strategy.
Improve Processes: Identify and implement efficiencies that streamline workflow, reduce bottlenecks, and maximize overall performance.

Required Qualifications

Active CPA license
Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience
Experience signing tax returns
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation or Accounting preferred)
Experience working with small-business clients through the United States
Proven success leading and managing team members
Comfortable working in a remote environment with strong communication and accountability systems
