Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work both independently and as an integral member of the library team and shares a commitment to creating a welcoming, supportive environment for students, faculty, staff, and other library users.Required: MLS from an ALA-accredited institution; familiarity with the principles of information literacy; recent experience and/or education in the provision of academic reference services; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work collegially in a diverse, fast-paced environment; a strong service commitment; a willingness and ability to serve students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred: Preference will be given to candidates with recent professional experience in reference or instruction in an academic setting. Preference will also be given to candidates able to work regular shifts, and who are able to work at our extension sites, if needed.
