The Director will work closely with the Gallery Principal and Managing Partner to promote the gallery program, achieve revenue goals, maintain operational excellence, and deliver an exceptional client experience. The Director is responsible for cultivating relationships with consultants, designers, and prospective clients while driving artwork sales and supporting the gallery\'s overall business objectives. As a front-facing gallery position this role combines exceptional client service with a strong understanding of contemporary and modern art, ensuring visitors receive a knowledgeable and engaging gallery experience. This individual will work closely with gallery leadership to identify sales opportunities, follow up on leads, and expand the gallery\'s client base.Success in this position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, a passion for the arts, the ability to understand client preferences, and confidence in presenting artwork and discussing artists\' careers. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused, team environment.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain relationships with clients, designers, architects, and art advisors, ensuring excellent client service.Meet individual and gallery sales goals through proactive client development.Present artwork professionally and confidently, communicating artistic concepts, provenance, and pricing.Maintain regular follow-up with existing and prospective clients.Assist with exhibition planning, openings, and gallery events.Maintain accurate client records and sales activity in the ArtLogic.Stay informed about artists represented by the gallery, current exhibitions, and market trends.QualificationsA minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in fine art, design, or a related field.Bachelor\'s degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.Demonstrated ability to build long-term client relationships and close sales.Strong presentation and negotiation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication.Knowledge of contemporary and modern art markets is highly desirable.Availability to work evenings and weekends for exhibition openings and gallery events.Performance ExpectationsAchieve quarterly and annual sales targets.Grow and maintain an active portfolio of collectors.
