Job Summary:
The Performance Management Specialist is responsible for the overall coordination of the performance management processes for employees represented by UUP, CSEA, PEF, and PBA NYS, plus Management/Confidential and Research Foundation employees.
What you'll do:
- Provide reports to Human Resources and Hospital Administration regarding the completion and compliance rates for performance evaluations.
- Work closely with Employee Labor Relations for employee performance issues, providing consultative support and detailed timelines.
- Provide support and coordination of performance management documentation for hospital and departmental audits and surveys.
- Assist with education and training of SUNY Upstate supervisors and staff, which includes participation in performance management training modules.
- Serve as a resource for Upstate department heads, supervisors, and staff on procedural matters, answering questions relating to deadlines, notice requirements, and other performance management questions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and two years of related experience required. Excellent organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Public sector and/or healthcare environment experience preferred. Previous performance management administration experience is desirable.
