Overview
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly organized Hotel General Manager to lead the daily operations of our multi-building boutique hotel property. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a guest-focused environment and excels at building strong relationships across multiple departments. Requires a strong attention to detail.
As the Hotel General Manager, you will oversee the oldest continually run hotel in the United States since 1766. Located in the charming village of Rhinebeck, NY. A proud member of the Historic Hotels of America.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and oversee daily operations across multiple hotel buildings and guest accommodations
· Ensure consistent service standards, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence throughout the entire property
· Manage and develop hotel staff while fostering a positive, professional, and accountable team culture
· Maintain strong communication and collaboration with the Restaurant General Manager, Restaurant Food & Beverage team, and Event Sales Manager
· Coordinate with all departments to ensure seamless execution of weddings, private events, group bookings, and hotel guest experiences
· Oversee front desk operations, housekeeping, guest services, maintenance coordination, and operational standards
· Monitor hotel performance, financial results, budgets, labor management, and profitability
· Maintain high standards for cleanliness, property appearance, and guest experience across all buildings
· Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
· Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and elevate service standards
· Coordinate contracts for services, landscaping, snow removal etc…
Qualifications
· Minimum 3–5+ years of hotel management experience required
· Multi-property or multi-building management experience preferred
· Boutique hotel experience strongly preferred
· Strong leadership and team-building skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
· Ability to build strong working relationships across departments
· Experience collaborating with restaurant operations, food & beverage teams, and event departments strongly preferred
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
· Experience with hotel property management systems and hospitality operations
· Financial management and budgeting experience preferred
