Job Summary:
The major functional responsibilities of the Intra-Operative Monitoring Assistant Manager includes coordination of all daily operations in the Intra-Operative Neuromonitoring department. Specific responsibilities include the scheduling of requested cases (to include tech assigned), training IONM technicians, maintenance of all equipment and retention of case data. The Specialist will be knowledgeable of all IOMN modalities provided by the Upstate's Neuromonitoring department, to include vascular, mapping, posterior fossa and advanced cases. The Specialist will be responsible for the competency assessment of the IOMN techs. The Specialist will be responsible for posting positions, interviewing and hiring all IOMN techs. The Specialist will assist the Administrator with analyzing staffing needs, preparing the IOMN budget and other duties as assigned. Specifically, the Specialist for IOMN exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision and values acting in a accordance with Upstate policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field required. CNIM credentials and a minimum of five years of Intra-Operative Neuromonitoring experience in an acute care facility; excellent written/oral communication skills and computer skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Work Days:
Monday through Friday daytime hours with on call requirements
