We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Solutions & Design Engineer specializing in Data Center infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for originating, designing, and validating integrated control systems across cooling infrastructure, power systems, and control platforms. This position serves as the single-point design authority from concept through commissioning and is accountable for ensuring that systems perform as intended under real-world operating conditions.
This role requires the ability to design from first principles, translate mechanical and electrical systems into executable control strategies, and lead technical decision-making across preconstruction, design, and delivery phases.
Responsibilities:
- Full system design authority across: cooling systems including chilled water plants, CRAH/CRAC units, cooling towers, and hydronic distribution systems; control systems including BAS/BMS, PLC, and SCADA environments; power system interaction including load behavior, sequencing awareness, and failure modes.
- Translating client requirements into complete system designs
- Defining system-level behavior and operational intent
- Creating detailed layouts, schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for electrical instrumentation
- Ensuring alignment between design intent and field performance
- Cooling System Control Strategy Development
- Design control system architecture across BAS/BMS and PLC environments
- Define I/O structures, network architecture, and integration strategies
- Establish interoperability across systems using BACnet, Modbus, OPC, and related protocols
- Perform Support and lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
- Provide technical leadership during commissioning and startup activities
- Define engineering standards and design methodologies
- Contribute to development of modular and repeatable system architectures
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 8–15 years of experience in data center or mission-critical environments
