Highly Organized Household Manager Needed for Busy Family | $35–$40/hr | Temporary with Long-Term Potential
A busy and active family of five with two dogs and three cats is seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Household Manager to help keep the household running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting a family environment, takes pride in maintaining an organized home, and can manage a variety of daily tasks independently.
This position is initially temporary, with the potential to become long-term for the right candidate.
Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Full-time position
Compensation:
- $35 – $40 per hour, depending on experience
Location:
- The family has two properties, so the candidate must be comfortable traveling between Rhinebeck and Saugerties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Household Management:
- Reset and tidy all living spaces daily
- Make all beds and tidy bedrooms each day
- Ensure all bathrooms are cleaned and stocked with necessary toiletries
- Maintain and organize household supplies (ordering and restocking as needed)
- Coordinate with and manage household vendors
- Oversee landscapers and other service professionals
- Manage recycling and take compost to the dump weekly
- Water indoor and outdoor plants
Cleaning & Laundry:
- Daily laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away
- Light daily housekeeping (a housekeeper handles weekly deep cleaning)
- Maintain general organization throughout the home
Kitchen & Food Prep:
- Light cooking and meal preparation
- Prepare snacks for the children
- Grocery shopping and pantry restocking
Errands & Household Support:
- Run household errands
- Handle returns and exchanges
- Pick up household supplies and necessary items as needed
- Drop off and pick up dry cleaning
Children & Family Support:
- Drive children to activities when needed
- Assist with preparing children’s snacks
Pet Care:
- Feed pets and maintain litter boxes
- Take pets to veterinary or grooming appointments when needed
Event & Guest Preparation:
- Assist with coordinating family events and children’s birthday parties
- Prepare the home for guests
- Ensure the house is fully stocked and ready for guest arrivals
