Job Summary:
Functions as an experienced technologist in the UMD Laboratory performing routine and specialized molecular testing. Primarily works day shift 7:00am to 3:30pm but may work other hours as needed. Rotates holidays and weekends with other Clinical Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory staff as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or related field required. NYS licensed/eligible or permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist required. Two years of clinical laboratory experience required. Ability to distinguish colors required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical laboratory experience performing molecular testing preferred.
