This is a high-priority sales role with direct responsibility for driving revenue through significant art transactions. The ideal candidate is a proven art sales professional with an established collector network and a consistent record of closing high-value sales.This role requires confidence, market fluency, and the ability to operate at a senior level with high-net-worth collectors, advisors, and institutional buyers.Core CompetenciesSales & Client DevelopmentOwn and grow a high-value client portfolio, including HNW and UHNW collectorsIdentify and cultivate new collectors beyond existing client listsConsistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targetsExecute private appointments, transactions, and six-figure+ placementsArt Market & Product ExpertiseMaintain expert-level knowledge of represented artists, exhibited works, and secondary market inventoryConfidently speak to artist careers, market positioning, pricing, and recent auction or exhibition activityStrategically place artworks based on client taste, budget, and long-term collecting goalsNegotiation & Deal StructuringLead negotiations with discipline and integrityBalance client expectations with artist representation standards and gallery profitabilityManage discounts, incentives, and value-add services in alignment with company policyCommunication & OutreachExecute professional, persuasive email and direct outreach strategies including phone and on the floor Present artworks and exhibitions clearly and authoritatively, both one-on-one and in group settingsProvide actionable feedback on email campaigns and sales strategyLeadership & CollaborationLead by example through personal sales performanceSupport onboarding and sales training for new consultants when requestedCollaborate closely with the Executive Director and Gallery Director on sales strategy, events, and off-site exhibitions and eventsResponsibilitiesMeet your monthly sales goals through through gallery traffic, events, networking, database miningDevelop and manage a robust pipeline of qualified collectorsCoordinate private appointments, home shows, and client RSVP acquisition for events and exhibitionsContribute to company-wide sales strategies and performance initiativesMaintain complete fluency across artist rosters, inventory, and market positioningRequirements3 - 5+ years of professional art sales experience (gallery, advisory, auction house, or comparable luxury sector required)Demonstrated history of closing high-value art transactionsStrong written and verbal English communication skillsHighly organized, self-directed, and performance-drivenAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsArt history background is a plus, but sales performance is paramount.
