Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager/Museum Project Manager to oversee and manage complex museum and institutional projects. This role requires deep knowledge of museum operations, incoming and outgoing loans, and the coordination required to support exhibitions, permanent collections, and traveling works. The ideal candidate has previously worked with museums or large cultural institutions and understands the precision, documentation, and relationship management essential in this field.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the primary point of contact for museum and institutional clientsManage incoming and outgoing loan projects from planning through completionCoordinate all aspects of artwork movement including packing, crating, transport, installation, and deinstallationOversee loan documentation including loan agreements, facility reports, condition reports, insurance requirements, and schedulesCollaborate with registrars, curators, conservators, and external vendorsDevelop project timelines, budgets, and work plans and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycleIdentify risks and proactively resolve issues related to logistics, compliance, or schedulingSupport business development by identifying opportunities within existing accountsMaintain strong long-term relationships with museum partners and institutional stakeholdersEnsure all projects meet museum standards, industry best practices, and contractual requirementsQualifications:Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience working with museums, cultural institutions, or fine art logistics firmsDirect experience managing incoming and outgoing museum loans is requiredStrong understanding of museum registration practices and exhibition workflowsProven experience working with large institutions, foundations, or public collectionsExcellent organizational, communication, and client management skillsAbility to manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyComfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environmentProficiency with project management tools and documentation systemsPreferred Experience:Background in museum registration, collections management, or exhibition managementExperience working with international loans and traveling exhibitionsFamiliarity with conservation standards and fine art handling protocols
