We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to take charge of designing and managing electrical control systems for cutting-edge products and processes. This role requires a firm commitment to excellence, ensuring all designs meet rigorous quality and production standards, as well as fulfilling customer documentation and delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the design of electrical product control systems for low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) switchgear assemblies, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, codes, and customer specifications within a project management framework.
Review and interpret customer specifications and sales agreements, providing guidance to engineering teams.
Utilize AutoCAD Electrical tools to design and lead electrical control system projects, enhancing design processes through standardized practices and tools.
Select and evaluate electrical/electronic components for control systems and associated equipment.
Offer technical troubleshooting support to customers and field service staff.
Engage in cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing, design, and quality issues, driving continuous improvement.
Mentor engineering teams through training, documentation, and procedural development.
Stay informed of industry advancements to support new product development.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, providing onsite support with occasional regional and domestic travel.
Adhere to safety and quality regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
10+ years of experience in electrical engineering and technical leadership.
Proficient in designing multi-phase and DC switchgear, switchboards, and panelboards for LV and MV equipment.
Experience in product assembly, manufacturing, and testing.
Strong project management skills, including project coordination and customer order management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD Electrical.
Familiarity with electrical test equipment for LV and MV products.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven expertise in electrical power engineering.
Experience in mechanical and software design and commissioning functions.
Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Experience with SolidWorks PDM design tools or equivalent mechanical design environments.
Commercial and design experience in renewables, emerging energy markets, data centers, battery systems, and charging stations is an advantage.
